“I suffered because of this situation, so I know how it feels,” Litton revealed. “I requested the board many times if I could skip the Test against Ireland to fully commit to the IPL. I wanted to learn, to grow, and to represent Bangladesh in the best way possible. However, the board was clear: the Ireland Test took precedence. Because I did not receive a full NOC, my standing within the KKR setup shifted as well.”

Back then, there was a desperate desire to win every match, but it often felt like there was no real roadmap to help individual players evolve.”

“I didn’t think I was mentally prepared because of the noise happening around me regarding the Test series. Once I arrived, it felt like there wasn’t a real place for me. I felt like the team didn’t actually need me, and I didn’t receive the support a player needs to feel comfortable,” he admitted.

Then, suddenly, at 11 PM, I received a message that I would be playing. I tried my best with whatever energy I had left, but that day simply wasn’t mine. Sometimes cricket gives you your day, and sometimes it doesn’t. That experience just left me feeling detached from the process,” he concluded.
